Myeloma Action Month is a global social awareness campaign that takes place every March to raise awareness of multiple myeloma—a cancer of the bone marrow plasma cells. Multiple myeloma is the second most common blood cancer in the world and the most prevalent among people of African descent. Yet, many have never heard of the disease, often confusing it with melanoma, the skin cancer.
